French Porcelain Sevres Style Table Lamp & Shade

We are pleased to offer for sale this lovely 19th Century hand painted French Porcelain Sevres style Table Lamp and beaded shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey lampshades.
The base of baluster form, is decorated with oval Watteauesque panels depicting a courting couple on the front and a landscape scene on the back. The panels are within gilt and white foliate borders against a mint ground. The lamp stands on a square brass base with cut out corners and ornate panels. All the fittings are well cast solid gilt brass. On the base of the actual vase is an inscription in French with the name of the decorater or designer, which appears to be Guigmerle or Guignoble and Paris, as well as more writing which we cannot make out. Please see the photograph.
The shade is in ivory silk damask with matching braid, and cream fringe overlaid with beaded strands in white and gold.
The lamp has been newly rewired in antique gold twisted fabric covered flex and has all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be certified by an electrician before use.
Height to top of shade 32" - 81.25cm
Height to base of lampholder 21 1/2" - 54.6cm
Diameter of base 6 1/4" - 15.85cm
Diameter of shade 19" - 48.25cm
Condition Very good. The gilding is in very good condition and there are no chips or cracks to the porcelain. The shade is new.
