French Walnut Chest Of Drawers
An impressive French 5 drawer commode or chest of drawers, c1890
Originally, the chest would have had a marble top, but this is missing, hence the low price and we can then look at replacing the top for you, perhaps a marble, piece of stone, or a wooden top polished to match the chest itself...please enquire or it can go as you see it here.
( a new marble top will simply slide into place and is held by the moulded edge )
Super quality and in nice condition, great detail with the veneer and beaded mouldings
Lots of storage space with the 5 full width drawers
Great decor piece as this is quite a tall chest, would be lovely in a reception room with a gilt mirror above and a pair of chairs. If you would like handles fitting to the chest, please let me know! Originally, this would be opened with just a key, so if it is to be a chest in the bedroom, easier to use with handles!
