A superb and early example of Constance Spry's mantle vase design, made at Fulham Pottery in the 1930's and now a much sought after decorators piece. More unusual is that this example comes with it's wire insert. Unglazed in a biscuit colour to the outside and glazed to the centre. In very good vintage condition with no damage. Some light crazing and water marks to the inside and a few age related and handling marks to the outside, always seen on these unglazed pieces. Fully marked to the base with FMC2 incised.
