Frederick (Fred) Hines 1875 - 1897

A British watercolourist of the latter part of the 19th Century, Hines was renowned for his scenes of rural domesticity. Today his paintings conjure up typical images of Victorian romanticism and sentimentality that transport one far from the stresses of modern day life.

This sumptuously framed, beautiful watercolour depicts a girl Gathering Apples (maybe scrumping!). The condition is excellent and is a fine example of Hines work showing the intrinsic romanticism of a skilled Victorian watercolourist who tragically died young
Signed Watercolour.
