Gents Private Label Automatic Watch, Circa 1960
A gents private label automatic wrist watch, circa 1960.
The watch has a good quality 21-jewel Schild automatic movement which is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated with the thicker 20 microns of plate, rather than 10. There is a little wear in places but not too noticeable to the naked eye. The stainless steel case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial is in its original finish and it has the name of the original retailer John Tempest of Halifax who was a jeweller and diamond merchant. Dauphine shaped hands and a centre seconds hand.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
