George111 Mahogany Side Table, Lowboy.
A very attractive, small proportioned, mid 18th cent, inlaid mahogany lowboy side table standing on cabriole legs. The three oak lined drawers are arranged in a kneehole shape. The top has a flap at the back which when raised on its swinging support acts as a continuation of the top surface and converts the table into a virtually square centre table. The top of the table and the drawer fronts are inlaid in boxwood which is all completely original. This table has a lovely old colour and polished surface and is in excellent, strong, original condition. The Georgian style brass handles have been replaced. Sizes: 26 ½ “(68cms) wide, 15 ¼ “(39cms) deep with flap lowered, 25 ½ “(64cms) dep with flap raised, 27 ½ “(70 cms) high. Date circa 1760.
