This is a very elegant 18th Century walnut chest of drawers with a lovely golden colour, dating from the reign of George II, circa 1740. The drawers are all solid oak lined and are in good order and glide smoothly in the chest. They have attractive later brass tear drop handles and brass escutcheons. The chest is raised on stout cabriole legs. There are some historic shrinkage splits as per the age but the chest is in remarkable order bearing in mind its history and is a very practical size, measuring 98cm high, 100cm wide and 58cm deep.
