Rare George III mahogany stool c.1780. Extraordinary shaped sides raised on fine carved cabriole legs ending in round pad feet. Note also the shaped detail at the corners. Upholstered seat pad freshly covered in a piece of crewelwork embroidered cloth. Some earlier repairs to the frame below the seat suggest the top was originally hinged. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
