George III Mahogany Fusee Bracket Clock


A handsome bracket antique clock from the George III period It is by Samuel Marsh who is listed as working in London from 1770 to 1820.
The case is in nicely figured mahogany with boxwood line inlay. It has a brass framed pad to the arched top and very smart brass inlaid fluted quater columns with brass capital. It also has gilt brass fish scale sound frets to the sides and stands on its original brass ball feet.
The good quality 8 day double fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell and has an attractive painted dial signed by the maker. The movement is also signed on the back plate
The case is in excellent original condition and a lovely colour.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:

32cm (12.5") wide
16cm (6.25") deep
