George III Mahogany Inlaid Bow Front Chest
A handsome George III mahogany inlaid bow front chest of drawers. This chest has a fantastic faded mellow brown colour with a good use of quality veneer throughout. The top has boxwood string inlay with a large cross banding.
The front has four graduating inlaid cock beaded drawers. Each drawer has oak sides with pine base boards and working locks with original key.
Each drawers has a brass pierced round back plate with ribbon rope twist ring pull handle which have replaced the original wooden knobs but still look very good.
To the base there is a nice bow shaped apron leading to bracket feet. The sides are also shaped with an additional line of mahogany inlay banding just above the bracket feet.
This is a good looking chest of drawers with lots of storage space.
