George III Mahogany Linen Press
A very good Georgian mahogany press cupboard on chest. The cornice having a moulded top with narrow cross banding and boxwood line inlay with further moulding and a cross banded frieze. The cupboard section with 2 beautifully figured flame mahogany panelled doors, each with boxwood and ebony line inlay. the doors open to reveal 3 mahogany faced storage slides. The base chest with 2 short over 2 long drawers, all with cock beading, original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The whole standing on the original shaped bracket feet with offset moulding. In excellent original condition with original working locks and keys. Linings- drawer sides oak, bases pine. Cleaned and waxed. More photos available.
