An original and unusual George III flame mahogany and inlaid tantalus in the guise of a knife box The flame mahogany sloping lid with ebony and boxwood chevron inlay and serpentine shaped front. The lid opens to reveal the mahogany lined interior with 3 original cut glass decanters and an ebony and boxwood inlaid star. The box retains the original brass fittings and carrying handles. Condition- Very good with original patina, cleaned and waxed. Dimensions- Height…13.5’’/ 34.5cm. Width…9’’/ 23cm. Depth…9.75’’/ 25cm. Free U.K. delivery on this item.
