George III Wigton Longcase Clock
A George III Oak cased 30 hour longcase clock made by John Simpson of Wigton.c.1770.Brass and silvered engraved dial with rare concentric calendar date hand to the centre.Fine case with turned columns and moulded cornice hood.Mahogany crossbanded shaped top door flanked by turned columns.Blind fretwork panel above.Canted corner base standing on bracket feet.Stands 83"high.Superb colour and patina.Fully overhauled.
