George Tomline, Life of William Pit, 3 vols. 1821

George Tomline, Memoirs of the Life of The Right Honorable William Pitt. 3 vols.
Published by John Murray, 1821. Third Edition.
Hardbacks with leather spines. 3 volumes only, taking the life of William Pitt up to 1793. We believe that a further volume was planned, and mostly written, but that it was never published. The books are in overall good condition with some wear consistent with age. The bindings have some scuffing, marking and wear and some denting around the edges. The hinges are cracked between the title page and front endpaper in all volumes, half way in volumes one and three, and all the way up in volume two. The hinges are also cracked at the rear in volumes one and two. The pages are tanned / browned with age and have some scattered foxing (brown spotting). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
