Georgian Antique Oak Mule Chest
Georgian Antique Oak Mule Chest.
An 18th century antique oak mule chest, made in the Lake District area in England.
Originally used for storing bed linen and such like, the oak top is attached by the original iron butterfly hinges, the top opens up to show a flat, deep storage area.
To the front of this Georgian antique mule chest are six drawers, the top two are dummy drawers with the lower four being actual working drawers.
This country oak antique linen chest is in very original condition, the colour is beautiful and unaltered and the timber used has lovely graining.
All the oval brass ware handles are completely original and in good order.
