Georgian Carved Cowrie Shell & Silver Snuff Box


A very nice Georgian silver mounted snuff box formed from a carved cowrie shell and with carved mother of pearl hinged cover. c.1800-1810.
It measures 7cm (2 3/4") long, 3.8cm (1 1/2") wide and 3.8cm (1 1/2") high.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to any of the shell. The hinge is fine and the cover closely well. The silver is unmarked. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
