Georgian Carved Walnut Drop-Leaf Dining Table

This lovely gateleg table is an eighteenth century piece, and looks to date from around 1750. It has some later alteration - we believe the carving on the top to be Victorian in date. We believe the table to be made from solid walnut, although please note that we are not 100% sure of the wood type. It is a nice country piece, with a polished top and a drop-leaf at either side which is supported on a pull-out leg. There is a drawer to one end.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some signs of restoration and repair, some very old. The carving on the top looks to be a Victorian alteration. There is some scratching to the top and some knocking and wear around the edges.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 69cm high, 115cm wide, 45.5cm long (closed), 142cm long (fully extended) (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
