Georgian Chippendale Style Mahogany Serpentine Des

A beautiful Chinese Chippendale-style mahogany kneehole desk with a serpentine front and shaped bracket feet. Featuring blind fretwork carving to the canted corners, ornate pierced handles with rams masks and beautifully chosen flame mahogany veneers. This is a good quality example with oak drawer linings and locks to each drawer.
This is a nice size and the drawers are large enough to take A4 papers. It is in good condition, there are some scratches & marks in the polish across the central drawer and minor ink marks inside, there is no key for the locks although a locksmith should be able to cut one.
Width - 47 1/4” (120cm)
Depth - 21 1/2” (55cm)
Height - 31 3/4” (80.5cm)
This is a ‘one piece’ desk and does not dismantle for moving.
Ref 0295
Please feel free to ask any questions or for more photos. Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
