Georgian Crossbanded Burr Walnut Chest Of Drawers

Antique Georgian 18C and later crossbanded burr walnut chest of drawers.
This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character.
No loose joints and the oak lined drawers slide freely (some marks inside as is to be expected).
Good shape and fantastic proportions. Charming historic waviness and distortion.
It is possible that the walnut veneer was added in the 19C to a Georgian oak chest.
Rare, with a great colour, crossbanded drawer fronts and top....has the wow factor.
Full of age charm and character, almost a work of art.
Overall maximum dimensions 90cmW x 52cmD x 94cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. Later handles, locks and escutcheons. There are some historic extinct woodworm holes (expected and desirable for 18C walnut), that we have treated for good measure. Some veneer replacement, imperfections and repairs, typical and to be expected for period burr walnut.
The customer will need to provide 1 able bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.
Stock No. 4114.
We can organise competitive UK and Worldwide courier delivery, please contact us for a quotation. Sale up to 30% off marked prices
