Georgian Elbow chair in Mahogany
A very good looking Hepplewhite influenced elbow /arm chair from circa 1800. Desk Chair maybe!
A handsome arm chair where the wood has all been cleaned and refinished, joints are sound. Seat is just reupholstered. A good chair for a desk maybe or occasional chair or even a carver to go at the end of a table. This example having a little more detail than most is just that bit more appealing than a very plain one. It has the stretcher base for rigidity and note the nicely shaped seat, a good sign of an early chair as in most cases later chairs has the flat seat of course.
