Georgian Housekeeper's Cupboard

This Georgian housekeeper’s cupboard is a stunning piece that would add antique character to any space, but would be ideal for a large traditional kitchen, dining room or study in a period property.
The cabinet dates from circa 1830, making it almost 200 years old. It is made from solid oak and features mahogany crossbanding. The cupboard has vertical reeded columns matching those on the base, which sits on traditional bracket feet. The lock escutcheon is inlaid with ebony to match the original handles.
The cabinet comes in three parts for ease of transport. The cupboard doors open to reveal plenty of storage space and there is lots of drawer space at the base. At some point in its life, the middle shelves have been painted blue. There is also a sequetare drawer section, with a re-felted worktop. The keys are provided for this secret drawer section.
The cabinet is in excellent condition for its age however, as it is an antique item, please allow for some signs of wear and tear.
Height 228 cm
Width 239 cm
Depth 61.5 cm
