Georgian Mahogany Bedside Cabinet Night Stand
This is a particularly pretty bedside cabinet. The cabinet is Georgian dating to around 1820. I love these cabinets. They, like all Georgian cabinet antique furniture are very demure and understated and yet are at the same time very elegant. The quality is in the detail.
The cabinet is made in solid mahogany and has a flame mahogany door panel and is cross banded in mahogany. It has applied beading and retains its original brass bracket handle. I love the little shaped apron below.
The cabinet stands on fine legs, chamfered on the inside edge and joined by a lower tier with a shaped stand for jug or bowl. (Good place for Pot pourri!)
The cabinet has a central cupboard.
This bedside cabinet will look very good in a bedroom furnished in antiques or mahogany. The cabinet is in good condition. Joints solid. No worm. Mahogany rich. There is a tiny crack running off the top of the central seam on the door - see photo.)
The Georgian bedside cabinet is 30 inches high and is 13 inches wide and 13 inches deep.
