Georgian Mahogany Campaign Wash Stand
We have for sale a very handsome and quite decorative George III period mahogany campaign wash stand dating to around 1800 - 1820.
This attractive Georgian wash stand is of a square form consisting a pollarded mahogany veneer finished hinged lid with ebonised borders formed from two box like leaves that fold out to reveal an upper interior with spaces for a single central bowl and two beakers, over a mahogany tambour fronted cupboard which in turn sits over three graduated drawers all supported on four square legs. The side panels of the wash stand are both fitted with heavy brass handles making the wash stand very easy to transport.
The wash stand is 34.75 inches (88.3cm) high, 18 inches (45.7cm) wide, 18 inches (45.7cm) deep and is in a good to very good unrestored condition other than a little bit of movement around the hinges of the the box like lids.
