Georgian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers
A stylish piece of antique furniture well over 200 years old yet still in perfect working order.
Circa 1800 mahogany chest of drawers arranged 2 over 3. Original brass swan neck handles to cock beaded drawers which still retain their paper lining. All locks present but lacking a key.
Construction details include boxwood and ebony inlay to top, canted corners with fluting, striking grain pattern with excellent warm colour to the mahogany with the whole standing on bracket feet.
With practical furniture that has had such a long working life there is evidence of previous use and old repairs as to be expected. Old seperation to the top. We feel this all adds to the charm and character and more importantly does not impede this chest from further use for many decades to follow.
