Elegantly proportioned George III mahogany chest of drawers c.1800. Just over 3' wide, classic configuration of two short drawers over three long drawers of graduated depth. Beautifully figured flame mahogany veneered ‘caddy’ top with crossbanded edge and boxwood stringing. Drawer fronts are also veneered and retain a superb set of original brass handles with lovely shell motif to each. Solid mahogany sides. Old repairs to the rear right hand corner of the top and the front right leg. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
