A good quality antique mahogany writing table with drawer dating from circa 1800. It has an over-sailing top with rounded edges above a single drawer, with brass knob handle and stands on elegant tapered legs. In a well-figured mahogany which has an interesting grain and figuring, it has marquetry inlay to the drawer edges and front of the legs as well as ebony and satinwood line inlay. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size and would make a wonderful desk or writing table.
