Handsome double sided George III mahogany kneehole desk c.1800. 46″ x 30″ top with blue/black leather skiver within a crossbanded border and thumb moulded edge. The front of the desk features a large centre drawer, two banks of four drawers of graduated depth and a useful centre cupboard inside the kneehole. The rear of the desk copies the design but has only the two banks of four drawers (the centre drawer being a dummy front, and with a fixed panel in the kneehole). Raised on a moulded plinth with castors below. Cockbeaded drawer fronts in solid mahogany with original brass swan neck handles. Solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Excellent condition and particularly good original colour. Key supplied.
