Georgian Mahogany Gateleg Table

A solid mahogany gateleg table that we have rescued and updated.
Surprisingly we came across this piece while on our travels and being used as a canteen table in a small bakers!
As can be imagined it did require quite a bit of tlc to bring this item back into use. The top has been refinished with two coats of wax oil. This has really brought the colour of the mahogany out and we have chosen to leave the marks created through natural wear as a feature in their own right. To the base an application of an on trend distressed, inky blue/black compliments the mahogany and brings an unusual twist on the traditional.
Dating as circa 1800 and was once probably the centre section to a much larger table that has been previously adapted to be oval. Of sturdy construction, updated and ready to be used within a new home.
