Georgian mahogany Gillows extending dining table
Fine Georgian mahogany Gillows style extending dining table. Dating from the early 19th century when these antique tables displayed much thinner reeded legs than later examples.
Table has been made from very nicely grained mahogany and comes with three leaves. It can be set up in various lengths without any problem at all depending on how many of the leaves you put it. The framework underneath is all in very good order and moves in and out freely.
The table seats 10 comfortably and 12 snuggly.
The reeded legs are thin but still strong enough for the table to be completely stable. The original brass castors are an especially nice design with tulip pattern top and fretted wheels.
The table has been professionally re-polished in the traditional manor therefore retaining its original mellow colour and has since been waxed a number of times.
