A magnificent early Georgian oil on canvas portrait,depicting a beautiful elegant society lady,seen posing in her vibrant and fashionable red dress,whilst sitting attentively in a balloon back chair,seen holding a white silk handkerchief.

FRAME

This fine example is mounted in a heavy period carved wooden gilt and gesso scrolled frame, which has a deep margin of some 6 inches.
The gold leaf colouring is excellent and is all in nice condition.

CONDITION

The condition of the portrait is absolutely glorious,as it has recently undergone a total and professional restoration procedure,whereby the canvas was re-lined,with the painting being carefully cleaned and restored sympathetically.
