Georgian Rockingham Teacup and Saucer


For sale we have a very attractive cup and saucer by the fine Georgian Yorkshire porcelain maker Rockingham.
This typically ornate Rockingham cup and saucer is richly decorated with a grey and gilt rococo foliate design. the base of the cup and the saucer both carry the pattern number 2/22 and the saucer base carries the Rockingham puce mark dating the piece to the post 1831 Rockingham period.
The saucer is 5 & 3/4 inches (14.6cm) in diameter and the cup and saucer are both in an excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and only a little bit of wear to the gilt.
