Georgian Satinwood Deed Box
A late 18th century Georgian deed or document box.
The box is mahogany with fine satinwood veneers and inlays.
The top is veneered with satinwood, has an oval panel of amboyna, is cross banded with harewood and has fine stringing with a chequered edge.
The rest of the box has satinwood and harewood veneers and inlays.
The box is in good condition, it has a lock and key but the lock does not work. (Circa 1790)
