A Large and Heavy German Oak Bookcase or Housekeepers Cupboard
This Old and roomy cupboard is made in solid panelled Oak, needless to say it is very heavy
The two large doors enclose a deep cupboard with removable solid oak shelves, the doors on the front there are panelled and there is a delightful inlaid Starburst in the centre and all the fittings are brass
There are 3 smooth running drawers at the bottom it stands on a carved apron, it is in good sound condition. The cornice at the top of the cupboard is removable as are the doors and drawers and this does help a little to reduce the weight for transportation but this one comes with a health warning, it is very heavy
The cupboard stands 73” high it is 65” wide and 24”deep, the internal depth of the cupboard is 18” so it would work with a rail for hanging clothes
