Gillows 19C Victorian ebonised armchair prie dieu

Antique Gillows 19C Victorian ebonised armchair, nursing chair or prie dieu.
A high quality, attractive chair, with no loose joints or wobbles.
This is a highly collectible and versatile piece of antique furniture.
Lovely legs with period brass and ceramic castors to the front legs (some wear as you would expect).
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
The seat upholstery is fairly recent, with only light wear and minor marks. The chair has a generously sized sprung seat.
Overall maximum dimensions
60cmW x 68mmD x 67cmH (35cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected components concealed beneath the upholstery, but the seat is quite soft but comfortable without the typical lumps and bumps of an antique chair. There are some historical woodworm holes, which are believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.
Stock No. 3391.
30 day no quibble money back guarantee.
Competitive UK and overseas door to door shipping.
Sale up to 30% off marked prices
