Early 19th.c. French portait of a gentleman in oil on canvas c.1830. Head and shoulders length portait of a handsome young man in shown in profile with his hair and high collar and neckscalf worn in the fashion of the day. Presented in the original gilded wooden frame with original gilding and particularly attractive Empire style decorations at the corners. Stamp on the rear of the canvas for the Paris artists suppliers Binant. Presented as found with some wear and repairs to the canvas.
