We are offering for sale this unusual and quite large late 19th/early 20th Century Gilded Cast Metal Figure of a Cavalier on a large, stepped, ebonised, circular wooden base. The Cavalier is wearing a cuirass or armoured breastplate, over the knee boots, gauntlets and a cape slung diagonally across his shoulders and tied at the front. He has his sword in his right hand and the scabbard hangs from straps to his left side. He has curly hair a neatly trimmed pointed beard and a moustache. His wide brimmed hat has two sweeping feathers.

Height: 19" - 48.25cm

Diameter of base: 10" - 25.4cm

Material: Metal & Wood

Condition: Very good. There is no damage to the metal figure and only minimal wear to the gilding. The wooden base is in good condition with only a couple of minor scratches consistent with age.
