Art Deco era giltwood standard lamp c.1930. Single bulb on a turned and fluted column with carved detail. On a 16" diameter base carved with repeated acanthus detail and raised on applied brass feet. Note the tiny applied badge to the top which reads Au Globe Lyon - presumably relating to the grand Globe et Cecil Hotel in the city. Original gilding chipped and rubbed through in placed to reveal the red ground below. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Rewired and PAT tested.
