Good 1920s Oak Refectory Dining Kitchen Table
This is wonderful quality refectory dining or kitchen table. It is made in heavy solid oak and dates to the 1920s. The quality is such that I would have expected it to have been retailed through Heals or one of the top end retailers of the day and it is a pity there is no label.
The table is in limed oak with a very thick planked top. It stands on two turned columns. Just look at the carved cup and cover balusters. Have you seen better? The table has a thick plank stretcher and stands on shaped feet.
I love this table. It will seat four to six in comfort. I like the light colour to the oak and the showy grain. This is a very good table.
The table is in good condition. No sign of worm or damage. Marks to the top as you would expect - see last photo but this sort of table gains from the sign of use. This is as a good a table of its type as you will see. The top comes off for moving.
The refectory table is 60 inches long and 30 inches high and 35.5 inches deep.
