Good Georgian mahogany upholstered chair
This is a top quality salon chair. It is Georgian, dating to around 1820. It is really good quality and as pretty a period bedroom chair as you will find. The chair is made in mahogany. Look at the shape to the seat. Look at the quality in the front legs. The legs terminate in their original brass casters.
The chair is upholstered. The upholstery is old but clean with only minor wear to the seat. Very unusually I have a length of the original covering material with the chair so if you wished to recover just the seat itself or seat and back you could!
This is such a pretty and elegant period chair. Condition good. Joints good. Very minor old repairs as you would expect. This chair will look wonderful in a principal room furnished in antiques, as a side chair, or in a bedroom.
Good thing.
The chair seat is 15.5 inches high and the back is 36 inches high. The seat is 16 inches wide.
