Maple and Co were the Rolls Royce of British antique furniture makers at the end of the nineteenth century. Their furniture was beautifully made and very opulent looking but at the same time not flashy and over the top. It was smart town furniture for the wealthy. They traded in London and Paris.

This display cabinet is typical of their work. It is made in solid mahogany and is beautiful. Look at the domed glass sides. Look at the boxwood and satin wood inlay. Look at the carved detailing to the astragals. Everything is as fine quality as you can find.

The cabinet has a central door and, inside, fixed shelves. There is a cupboard below and shelves to each side.

The condition of this display cabinet is very good. The mahogany is rich and the inlay crisp. There is no key to the door but the door shuts readily. The feet have been reduced - see photo,

This is a beautifully opulent piece. Maple and Co furniture is justifiably sort after and remains incredibly smart. Good piece.

The cabinet is 41.5 inches wide and 15 inches deep and 51 inches high.
