A good quality hardwood Meiji period Japanese Shodana Cabinet having silver wire inlay throughout and carved decorative panels with typical chrysanthemum, bird and floral carving to the wood. The cabinet has an arrangement of 8 shelves 3 having carved dragon and dogs capitals with 8 sliding and 4 hinged doors with 3 drawers all have carved fronts. The corners having brass protective strips with chrysanthemum chased decoration.Condition- very good, with no damage or missing parts. Dimensions:- Height…68.5’’/ 174cm. Width…43.5’’/ 110.5cm.
