Good Quality French Mantel Clock (Paris, c. 1880)
A Good quality French Mantel Clock c.1880.
The original finish ormolu case adorned with Sevres style hand decorated porcelain with a rose ground.
The elegant shaped case with fine quality floral and ramshead mounts, supported on toupie feet with a Roman style urn top.
The circular face having Roman numerals adhorned with green diamante and painted cherub scene, blued steel hands.
The fully restored eight day spring driven French movement striking the hours and half hour on a single bell.
Movement stamped D C & Cie Paris numbered 267 Circa 1880.
This antique clock is in excellent original condition, the dial and sevres panels are in perfect order, very crisp and a wonderful colour complimenting the very fine castings which have superb original gilding.
The movement is fully restored and in excellent working order.
