GOOD QUALITY, ANTIQUE SCOTTISH STERLING SILVER BASKET, EDINBURGH c1897.
A good quality, Antique, Victorian, Scottish Sterling Silver Basket made by Brook & Son (formerly of George Street, Edinburgh) and dating from c1897.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "B&S" for Brook & Son, the Scottish "thistle" Sterling Silver mark, the Edinburgh "Castle" town mark and date letter "q" for 1897/98.
It measures 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in width. It stands 6 1/4" inches (160mm) in height (to the top of the raised handle).
The weight is 223.6g/7.88oz/7.18ozt.
