A very good set of 6 early-Victorian mahogany dining chairs. Made from a good grade of solid cuban mahogany timber, now with a great depth of colour and patina. They are of strong and sturdy manufacture and stand well, free from wobbles. The upholstery is in its original leather , with great depth of character. The strong frames are decorated with carved detailing to the top rail and back surround. The elegant front legs terminate in their original brass and ceramic castors. This fine set of chairs bear their original retailers labels for the prestigous firm of "Heweston and Thexton " of Tottenham Court Road, London.
They are offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home.
