Here we have a fine charming Marine Oil Painting in the Dutch Manner depicting rough seas of a view near Gorleston Pier Norfolk.
The painting is an oil on board set within a fine antique gilt and gesso decorative original frame.
The outstanding and professional manner in which the subject has been captured is evident
to any viewer with an expert eye for such a scene, with the choppy seas and waves brilliantly
depicted with amazing detail scale and colour, the very best in a maritime painting.
The Artist is Charles Beaty (1878- 1989 )
Charles Beaty being a noted painter of Norwich and Norfolk marine scenes whose work is represented in a number of museum collections.
CONDITION
The painting is in very good order for the age with the colours crisp and vibrant, the frame is also tidy having only had the odd past minor repairs to beading which is unnoticeable.
The work still retains the aesthetic ethic appeal of a charming Dutch manner seascape, rough seas and white water waves crashing together.
