Gothic Style French Oak Wardrobe or Armoire


Circa 1880, large Gothic style French dark stained oak 2 door wardrobe/armoire. It has a deep cornice, mouldings to the top following by carved sections and Gothic tracery. The 2 large doors to the front have strap hinges and bronze studs, each with 6 fielded panels. There is large beading to the centre, separating the doors and inside is a hanging rail and cross shelf. The sides have 8 fielded panels, ogee moulding and a simple apron to the front. The front feet are supported by quarter brackets to the tops.
