Gothic Victorian C1900 carved walnut oak armchair
Antique Gothic Victorian (or possibly Edwardian) carved walnut (unlike most examples of this type of chair which are made of oak) armchair with lions head finials to the back.
Great proportions and styling.
A lovely mellow walnut colour with no signs of any woodworm.
A solid heavy chair that has no loose joints or wobbles.
The upholstery is not new and has light wear and marks (we have not inspected any components concealed beneath the upholstery).
Overall maximum dimensions
63cmW x 69cmD x 106cmH (42cmH seat).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. There are some filled holes on the wooden components at seat level (see photos) but these are not very noticeable.
