Pretty Grainger & Co. spherical vase by Alfred Barry in a cream ground with finely reticulated upper half and lovely angular side handles on the shoulders which are also pierced on all sides and have a plaited texture on the side edge. Decorated with strings of turquoise jewelled beads and gilded decoration. Stamped and impressed mark for c.1870-1889 and model number 1/1014.

It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high and 15.3cm (6") wide. Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. A few of the blue beads are missing, otherwise minimal surface wear and the gilding is very good. It would have had a small cover originally but there are no signs of wear to this inner rim and it displays beautifully as it is. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
