Great Western Railway Pocket Watch Pre Grouping


A Great Western Railway Pocket Watch (GWR)
in excellent Condition
The watch is running fine with strong tick and takes a full wind
Made by fine London makers Rothermans movement No 178115
White Enamel dial still in very good condition , Bold black Numerals original bold
black hands, with small sweep 60 second hand dial
just some very light hairlines hardly noticeable and tiny chip in centre of the hands again this is hardly noticeable to the naked eye
Silver Nickel heavy plated case in fine condition, strong top bow and gold coloured winding button case opens and closes with a nice snap
Side pin button to press in to set the hands
There are some age case scratches these are more on the underside of the back of the case
Also two old repair papers for Beringer & son Helston and Dartmouth
Which would have been in the GWR Area
Watch Class looks fairly new so all clear and without damage
Great to have engraved on the back GWR and stock number 2494 this would have been before pre-grouping of the Railways in 1923
This GWR watches getting harder to fine in good very good condition like this
Great for any Railway collection
