Victorian Pitch Pine Wardrobe - Former Church Piece - c1880
This excellent pitch pine wardrobe is presented in good antique condition and benefits from hand-painted detailing to the front panels.
The robe is designed to be not too deep and therefore ideal as a free standing piece in a narrow hallway or corridor, portico or cloakroom.
Formerly resident in a church the piece is cleaned and waxed ready for the home. Internally there are hooks to the perimeter and a centre rail.
Crafted from quality pitch pine the piece displays desirable heavy grain pattern.
To the top there is an attractive wide crown moulding displaying further painted detail, and the piece presents a simple plinth at the floor.
The field panel doors are secured with a lock complete with key.
This stylish and very practical piece is in excellent solid order. The quality of the construction of the piece is clear to see. An unusual example with great practicality.
